NEW YORK MESOTHELIOMA LAWSUIT ATTORNEY AND MARF DIRECTOR DISCUSS MESOTHELIOMA TREATMENT, EDUCATION AND RESEARCH
Watch as Christopher Hahn, Director of the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation (MARF) a national nonprofit organization devoted to eradicating mesothelioma, explains via telephone interview why the search for mesothelioma treatments is so vital and what MARF is doing to enhance mesothelioma education and awareness and help discover a mesothelioma cure.
Robert Komitor, Esq., the co-host of this segment, has served on the Board of MARF. He is nationally recognized for advocating for the legal rights of mesothelioma patients in New Jersey and New York mesothelioma lawsuits. Mr. Komitor is with the New Jersey and New York mesothelioma law firm of Levy Phillips & Konigsberg, LLP.
Mesothelioma is presently an incurable disease. But, there is hope for those with mesothelioma due to the efforts of organizations like MARF. They can provide information on mesothelioma - education, research and mesothelioma treatments. MARF is funding promising mesothelioma research to try to find a mesothelioma cure. As Mr. Hahn states in this video, there is hope for mesothelioma patients.
MARF has also raised money for mesothelioma research, obtaining appropriations from Congress in 2005 and 2006 totaling millions of dollars. Unfortunately, the United States Government is still not providing enough funding for mesothelioma education and treatment, particularly as compared to the current funding for other cancers. Many asbestos victims were exposed to asbestos in the Navy and at shipyards in the World War II and Korean War efforts, resulting in mesothelioma lawsuits in New York, as well as most cities in the United States. This country owes a debt of gratitude to the men and women who served and increased money for mesothelioma research should be allocated by Congress.
The message of this interview with New York mesothelioma lawsuit veteran Robert Komitor and the Director of MARF is that mesothelioma patients should not lose hope. Advances in therapy and mesothelioma treatment options have already been made. But more needs to be done. Mesothelioma research is needed to find new and effective mesothelioma treatments and ultimately to find a mesothelioma cure. Traditional mesothelioma treatments need to be improved and experimental treatments need to be advanced through clinical trials. Also, mesothelioma surgical options need to be advanced to increase survival and quality of life.
